Overview
She’s one of the game's strongest DPS options at the moment with a simple to learn kit and some optimization tricks to push her forward. With that being said, she IS our first limited character and this is a gacha game. If you’re unfamiliar, characters released early tend to “fall off” as power creep inevitably arrives. Up to you if that’s worth it.
Why Florence?
Pros:
- Amazing Mix of Burst and Sustained Damage: Her stance damage deals high damage while her ult can nuke enemies off the screen.
- Easy to Play: Has a very simple rotation without many button presses.
- Scales with Unique Stats: Since she wants to stack Pierce you can reserve your crit pieces for your other DPS.
Cons:
- No Utility: She’s a pure damage dealer with no utility. This leaves her more prone to being powercrept in the future.
- Long, Unsafe Animations: Her skill animations take a while to fully resolve, leaving you vulnerable to enemies that don’t get staggered by hitstop easily.
- Scales with Unique Stats: Because she doesn’t really make great use of Crit (at least in our recommended build), her teammate options are a bit more restrictive from an optimization perspective.
Final Verdict
Q: Should you pull for Florence?
A: Yes!
Florence is our first limited character; a Fire DPS wielding a claymore. Her main goal is to activate her passive through various means, then use a mix of her enhanced skills to deal big damage until she runs out of skill uses. She uniquely scales with Pierce instead of crit like other Destruction characters, although you can run crit if you don’t mind only getting crit rate from Ancient Marks or have her at P6. Her quick rotation and massive burst make her a contender for the best DPS in the game.
