Late at night, Enas sighed as he relied on a faint candlelight to read something.
Grand Order of the Moonshade.
At first, he thought it was merely a cult following the existence of a Witch. He thought it was just a group of fanatics rampaging to set the world on fire. But he was wrong. The Grand Order of the Moonshade was a far larger organization than they had imagined. They had the power to manipulate a nation and truly had the power to set a country ablaze.
The information about the Grand Order of the Moonshade and the Witch that Pharos provided far exceeded their expectations.
「You seem to have a lot on your mind.」
Enas sighed softly as he looked at Libertas, who appeared silently.
「I told you to make some noise when you move around.」
「Were you thinking about the Grand Order of the Moonshade?」
Enas swallowed hard at Libertas's words that hit the mark and slowly chose his words.
「I thought it was an extraordinary organization. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't uncover anything about them.」
「Indeed.」
Wandering in the dark, they barely discovered that these were people who could control even a nation...
「Are you afraid?」
At those words, Enas shook his head.
「I'm not afraid. But... I'm a little uncertain. Whether we can fight against them. Whether we can achieve our goal.」
Libertas, who had been quietly listening to Enas's words, spoke.
「Joining hands with Pharos is also an option.」

The moonlight streaming through the tent gently caressed the tattoo on her right arm.

Enas smiled as Libertas nodded.

In the letters I wrote in the past, there are so many emotions. Joy, sadness, pain. Reading those letters, I can understand what situation I was in and what I was thinking at the time.

While organizing my letters last time, I discovered some very old ones. Letters from long before I founded Libertas and this mercenary group.

Those letters were filled with dark emotions. A reality so cold. In front of that reality, I was just helplessly despairing. Back then, I had nothing. No strength, no courage.

Even after meeting Libertas and establishing the Kamp Mercenary Group, the dark letters continued for a while. The letters I wrote in the early days of the mercenary group might have been even darker than those before. I was really lost at that time. I thought I could find the Grand Order of the Moonshade, fulfill Libertas's wish, free the captured slaves, and atone for my sins.

But reality wasn't like that. There were more things I couldn't do than things I could, and what I wanted was still far from my reach. That's probably why the letters I wrote then were so dark.

However, as time passed, the letters I wrote began to brighten. Sadness decreased, and joyful events started to increase. I began to look away from the things I couldn't achieve and started to see the things I could.

One of the reasons I could do that was because of you. You joined the mercenary group after losing everything, but you never gave up and kept moving forward. Watching you, I learned a lot.
