A boy who lives in and is good at fishing. One day, while traveling, Hou found Uku washed up on the shore and brought him back to his village.

If you take the hook from a fishing rod and attach a weight to it, it becomes a formidable long-distance weapon. A fisherman accurate enough to land bait exactly where he wants can just as easily hurl the weight like a projectile.

Catch the Legend!

A traveler who visited the village told Uku about a being called the **Water God**. Its true identity was unclear, and the other fishermen laughed at it as a fairy tale, with nobody believing it, but Uku felt differently. The trusting boy believed in the existence of the **Water God**, vowing to himself that he would definitely catch it someday.

Best Friend

Uku and Gonoh, a giant tortoise, have a close friendship, and Uku always rides on her back. Gonoh doesn't let just anyone ride on her back. The fact that Gonoh lets Uku do it is proof that she trusts him.
