Version 1.4 Survey Answers

Elemental Sanctum

The mode was built with many layers: synthesizing the Shards of Affinity earned from clears into higher stages, and setting difficulty directly through Select Trial. Raising the level through Select Trial before a run strengthens the element-specific passives called Elemental Blessing.

Each day a Daily Bonus gives extra rewards for one of the five elements, and the Sanctum showing that badge is the one to run first. The team says it will keep improving the in-game guides for the mode.

Wind teams and Nagi

Version 1.4 rebalanced characters across the roster, including Wind teams. The changes to Nagi Nagi were kept conservative because of her on-field and off-field swapping, and the outcome fell short of the team’s intent. A further review of the Wind element, Nagi above all, is under way, with changes planned once the plan is settled.

Monsterlings

  • A way to set Monsterlings flexibly for each situation and character is wanted, and a guide to the options other Divers use most on a character is planned in-game.
  • The Register Favorite Monsterlings feature added in 1.4 did not work as designed and returns in the next version after rework.
  • A preset feature is under review, with no date yet.

Story and Photo Mode

  • Moving story updates to a 3-week cycle lowered translation quality, which the team says it will work to restore.
  • Episode 7 moved to a sci-fi setting, and the Void story in the Gaba Archipelago continues, so the sci-fi regions continue for now.
  • Photo Mode will gain more conveniences, including shooting during combat.

Half Anniversary

The Half-Anniversary Fan Art Contest is still running, and entering earns rewards. A Character Preference Survey in the in-game Notice Mail collects the characters Divers want to see, from the original work or in a given concept, and feeds into future character design.

In the PD’s words, Mongil up to the Half Anniversary focused on usability and groundwork, and the period after it brings more content and story, with ways to expand how characters are used under review. The Affection System is in development.

Fortnite Collaboration

Mongil: Star Dive is coming to Fortnite. Dates and details will come in a separate notice.
