Change Log

v 1.1.0

  • Added Tiger!, Fire!, Cyber!, Sudden Strike, Punishing Attack, Strategic Thinking, Narrow Focus, Immune System, Full-Bloomed Cherry Blossoms, Rejection Impulse, Professional Maid, and Cornerstone of Supremacy.
  • Strike Zone moved to C tier because it is mostly used to activate Full Party.
  • Full Party moved to S tier now that crit rate is easier to access.
  • Maximization and Excuse moved to A tier because their phase 1 requirement is less convenient than Power Harassment.
  • Things to Hold On To sits in S+ because shield expansion lets anyone activate it.
  • Diligent Perusal moved to B tier after nerfs and stronger replacement cards.

It’s very hard to rate this card, but I’m going to give it S+. Tension gain is at a premium and any source of it is always going to be good (more tension = more ults and/or faster activation of phase 2/EX cards). However, being a TP1 card makes it awkward as you need to actually stay IN TP1 to keep it activated. You also need a character with a deflect, and an enemy that can be deflected (go to hell Destroyer). This card is most easily abused by Hina, but any character with a deflect counterattack can get value out of this. It also doesn’t need to be max level/max dupe to do its job; most enemies have at least 2 seconds of downtime between attacks.

Effect

When the operating character executes Deflect Counterattack successfully, recharge Tension by 10.
When there are enemies under [Hegemony], there will be 2x effectiveness.
After the effect is activated, there will be a 1s CD.

The best crit rate card in the game. Easily activatable thanks to the substat Shield Expansion, and its extra conditional for extra attacks can be accessed through various means. Characters who can reactivate shields can maintain its full value, but even the initial crit rate boost is more than enough for most content in the game. Best abused by Kazuki and Senju.

Effect

When granting Shield, grant party members [Night Time Ponder] while increasing Critical Rate by 15% for 30s.

Night Time Ponder

Increase Critical Rate by 10% for each stack.
When under [Night Time Ponder], each time an Additional Attack hits, stacks will increase.

An absurdly high secondary attack mult buff even without activating its bonus effect. Punches far beyond its weight class as a 1*, and its phase requirement isn’t too difficult to maintain. Insanely abusable on numerous characters.

Effect

When the operating character is of [Attack Role] and executes Deflect Counterattack successfully, increase Secondary Attack DMG Multiplier by 54% for 10s.

Based on the number of enemies granted [Hegemony], further increase Secondary Attack DMG Multiplier by 18%.

Extremely good card, providing a damage increase to every attack at the cost of draining some stamina. Forces a different playstyle for most characters, but the DPS increase is generally worth it. Particularly abusable by Kazuki.

Control is an insanely good debuff, so Power Harassment is pretty good. However, it’s a shop only card and Maximization/Excuse are significantly more accessible.

While this card can enable some absurd damage output, it’s generally overkill for current content. Enabling this card is also a painful proposition for most teams, requiring some ult efficiency rolls or running Senju/Miu.

Effect

After executing an Ultimate Skill, if an Ultimate Skill is executed within 10s, increase the Ultimate Skill DMG Multiplier of that character by 80% for 10s.
Full-Bloomed Cherry Blossoms
2-Star Tension 2

Full-Bloomed Cherry Blossoms

Special Condition

Review

In terms of raw numbers, this is the best card in the game. Completely free to farm (if you can stomach the drop rate) and providing 30-50% crit rate and 90-150% crit damage depending on dupe level, Cherry Blossoms has completely invalidated the need for crit rate when combined with Things to Hold On To or any other crit rate TC. However, its phase 2 requirement combined with needing to grab 100 petals to fully stack its effect makes its usability for most players questionable. For most fights and for most teams, you can generally end boss battles as soon as you reach phase 2; we’re not quite at the point where Iroha can’t just one shot bosses off rip. However, it’s not completely unusable in general play; even with low stacks it’s still quite good for what it is, providing high amounts of crit rate and crit damage even with 30-50 petals. It’s not TOO difficult to get petals either, as every instance of damage causes petals to fall. Its main use case is versus the Red Limit bosses, as these fights do actually take more than 2 minutes outside of perfect substat + high dupe characters. Best abused by characters with either multi hit attacks (Jio most notably) or by ranged DPS who can easily run around to gather petals without losing much damage (Miu/Tsuruko most notably).

Effect

When party members and all enemies are hit, flowers will scatter around them.
The maximum number of these flowers on the field is 30.
Party members that touch the flowers will gain 1 stack of [Faded Blossom].
The flowers will be removed after being touched by a party member or after 20s.

Faded Blossom
Maximum 100 stacks.
Increase Critical Rate by 0.5% and Critical DMG Multiplier by 1.5% for each stack.

Actually better than it looks for Enoki. The crit rate is honestly whatever in the wake of Full Party + Things to Hold On To, but the real bonus is completely disabling healing (a QOL buff that should honestly have been attached to her passive 2). The stamina recovery increase is also very handy for a character who has such expensive stamina costs.

Effect

The operating character cannot receive any Recovery Effect. Instead, increase Critical Rate by 13.34%, and grant them [Verge of Death].
This effect will be removed upon a character change.

Verge of Death
Maximum 3 stacks.
Stacks will increase over time.

A worthy contender to Kazuki’s signature card, providing a flat crit rate amount unconditionally. Depending on your gear you might be able to run this instead and still hit 100% crit rate. If you happen to have T5 Eiji the 20% crit rate he provides on top of this card will more than match Kazuki’s while providing the insane buff and passive tension gain that Eiji brings (at the cost of losing Kazuki’s break speed). More importantly, you could combine this combo WITH Kazuki and his signature card to remove the Unity duo from your set up and give you an extra card slot to work with (and rid yourself of Strike Zone). If we ever get a primary/secondary attack focused DPS (technically Gotanda exists but we can do better than that) this card’s value will greatly increase. Also technically has synergy with Nobles Obligation but it’s not really needed here.

Effect

When dealing damage to an enemy, increase Critical Rate by 20% for 3s.

Another meme card joining the likes of Detonator and Blades Dance, but this one is actually really good. The CD is actually an upside here, ensuring you don’t drain all your tension like Detonator (on top of being for the operating character). The Heavy Attack part is also of note, allowing you to actually deal BREAK VALUE damage. As much as I want to give this S rank, it’s just not quite good enough to warrant it.

The real payoff to running Star Actor cards. Since piloting a breaker is generally optimal anyway, this allows for some pretty chunky chain skill damage and a decent attack point buff for the breaker (who is also likely sub DPSing). Particularly good for T1 Yo.

Effect

Insanely good bossing card for all of one character. The only character who can self damage at the moment is Enoki, who abuses this card extremely well. The enemy tension gain increase is also good for her since it makes enemies do more aggressive attacks, allowing for more counterattack opportunities. It’s also irrelevant against bosses since they force themselves into EX phase anyways.

We did a Should You Pull for this card, but here’s another summary. While this card can provide massive amounts of primary attack mult, we don’t really have many characters who rely on primary attacks for damage. This card is currently pretty specific to Hina, who has high enough base mult on her charged primaries to actually deal big damage with it. Unless you’re counting on future characters to abuse this card (remember, said character needs to also be able to deflect counterattack), this card is pretty much manual Hina only.
