NTE’s new asymmetric PvP mode, Shadow-n-Seek, drops players into a disguise-and-pursuit match where each round randomly assigns you to the Hider or Hunter side. The event runs from July 17, 2026 at 10:00 (UTC+8) to August 19, 2026 at 05:59 (UTC+8).
How It Works
- Hider: At the start of the match, you get a short preparation window to explore the map and choose one of three objects to disguise yourself as. Once transformed, you blend into the scene like a normal prop. You cannot attack while disguised, so stay on the move, reposition, and use decoys to avoid the Hunters.
- Hunter: You have 2 minutes and 20 seconds to find and catch every Hider. Use your scanning ability to land a hit and trigger the catch. Be careful — attacking the wrong target costs you HP.
Win Conditions
- Hiders win: At least 2 Hiders are still alive when the timer runs out, or all Hunters’ HP is depleted.
- Hunters win: Catch every Hider before time runs out.

Participating earns the event currency “Paper Cup Phone”, which you can spend in the Shadebound Shop to redeem:
