Elementa has published what the “Dichotomy” Beta Test feedback is turning into, grouped under four headings: combat, narrative, the open world and performance. The clearest commitment in it is the last one — a mobile version is coming in a future test.
Combat
- Camera and target lock-on. Groups of enemies, flying enemies and fast movers all drew complaints. Enemy placement and camera movement rules are being reworked to keep the battlefield readable and targets under control.
- Hit feedback. Animations, visual effects, sound effects and enemy hit reactions are being polished, with more distinct feel per character and weapon.
- Combat information. Support character buffs are hard to read at a glance, and Reactor, Catalyst and buff states are easy to miss mid-fight. The combat interface and the tutorial guidance are both being reworked around that.
Narrative
- Dialogue History is being added, so previous conversations — and the case details in them — can be re-read at any point.
- Main story presentation is being reworked across visuals, staging, sound and animation, with stealth and assassination sequences getting specific attention to controls and camera.
- Detective mechanics such as the Revealer Light will appear more often through the story.
- Curious Deductions, the branching-ending deduction quest mode, is treated as a template: more content of that kind is planned.
Open World
- Silvernia’s areas are being given stronger individual identity through lighting and environmental detail, with more interior spaces made accessible.
- NPC appearance and behavior are being brought closer to their stated professions and personalities.
- Riding and flying on the Silverium Pegasus is being improved, alongside more collectibles and interactive objects, better map information and exploration guidance, and camera control while moving.
Performance
Elementa acknowledges the test surfaced performance problems and commits to further optimization and device compatibility work. A mobile version is set to enter a future test alongside it.
What Players Should Know
What the report establishes is the shape of the next build: readable combat, a dialogue log, a denser city, and a phone in the test pool.
