Maintenance on September 24, 2026 (12:00–18:00 JST) added new Chapter 3 main story to Suikoden STAR LEAP along with the Emotions & Secrets banner. It followed the app update of September 21, which brought bulk trading, eight saved parties and a round of combat changes.
September 24: Chapter 3 and Emotions & Secrets
The main story continues with new Chapter 3 content.
Emotions & Secrets features three SSRs:
Their boosted rates run from September 24, 18:00 to October 7, 11:59 (JST). The banner’s points shop stays open until October 21, 11:59 (JST): any of the three costs 200 points, and Guaranteed Ticket Vol. 8 costs 100, once.
The same maintenance added:
- Badges, earned through story progress, battles, character growth, exploration and village activities.
- Collection rewards in the Encyclopedia for characters, fishing, treasure, ingredients and dishes.
- Signature dishes for some characters, and the accessory Shanpia Disguise Set.
- Two Monthly Packs in the shop.
- A change to Headquarters resource gathering: the minimum reward for stopping early is now drawn by stage, Great Tree phase and time of day, so it sits closer to what auto-play would have paid.
September 21: Quality of Life
Trading, Shops and Cooking
- The Trading Post gets bulk buying and bulk selling, merges the premium buyback and sell screens into one, sorts ingredients by type, and shows at a glance what can be sold.
- The Item Shop gets bulk buying. The Headquarters Item Shop stocks more, and most of its lineup now appears at random.
- Kitchen: opening a Group Meal from a character’s page selects that character’s special meal, and both Group Meals and Resource Processing show missing ingredients straight away.
- The Blacksmith filter can narrow by character.
Characters and Parties
- Eight saved parties for battle content.
- Bookmarked characters stay pinned to the top of the list.
- Limit Break counts show when picking a character, and the filter adds role.
- Armor can be crafted from a character’s page when none is equipped.
- Sort and filter settings are remembered.
Battle
- AUTO changes how it handles enemies with guard traits, avoids spending Specials on enemies that are nearly dead, and keeps a Combo available while it uses normal attacks.
- Combos no longer give enemies extra actions or clear their Unbalance.
- Knockdown now keeps an enemy out of action for longer.
- Passives that dispel Unbalance no longer delay the unit’s turn.
- The Duels that interrupted travel in Chapter 2 are gone.
- Bounties get a “Quest List” button and a “Re-hunt” button on the clear screen, the Phantom Duel difficulty screen shows the Memoria’s abilities, and Loot Expedition plays faster.
Everything Else
- Gacha history can be checked in the app.
- A countdown appears before the daily reset.
- Google Play and Game Center links can now be removed.
- Fishing and diving mark a record-size catch with a gold or silver crown.
- The Tavern’s game room remembers your last bet until the app restarts.
- Low-memory devices: turning on background simplification under Options (the gear icon) shortens loading between screens. Konami recommends it for training and battle content rather than story and town exploration; with it on, other towns are reached by teleporting from the map.
