Suikoden STAR LEAP released Ver. 1.2.1 after maintenance on October 15, 2026, 12:00–18:00 JST. It opens a new pickup gacha, chapter 3 of the Inheritor of the Scattered Flowers event story, a new event strategy battle and the third login bonus of that event, and adds a set of convenience features.
Exp. Training
- Auto assign: a new option picks the characters to train by your priority conditions and spends hourglasses to give them Exp.
- Stored Exp.: a character already at their current Lv. cap can still store Exp. up to the Exp. Training limit set by your headquarters Lv. The stored Exp. applies when you use materials to unlock that character’s Lv. cap. The maximum Lv. a character can reach is unchanged.
Interface
- Missing materials first: required-material lists now put what you lack at the top in the blacksmith’s weapon enhancement, armor crafting and armor enhancement, the emblem shop’s skill enhancement, instruction, a character’s Lv. cap unlock, and the kitchen’s recipe and processing details and the suggestion box’s recipe check.
- Skippable animations: tapping skips parts of the animation for crafting armor, enhancing weapons and armor, equipping seal orbs and enhancing skills at the emblem shop, and enhancing instruction.
- Accessory requirements: accessories with an equip condition show it more clearly in the accessory shop and storage, and a list shows which owned characters can equip them.
- Gathering: the stage selection shows material images matching the current Great Tree phase and time of day.
- Mirage Tower: friends’ characters are easier to spot when choosing a helper.
- Scores: Event Phantom Duels and the event strategy battle show high scores and score caps in the reward list and results, with a MAX marker when the cap is reached.
- Login bonus display at the top left of the RPG screen is now orange; the additional data download screen shows download speed; the theater clears its NEW markers once you open and close the song and video lists.
Event Strategy Battle
In the current event strategy battle (イベント思考軍記), winning within a set time from the start of battle gives the maximum remaining-time bonus, which then falls as time passes. Every difficulty has a cap on the total score, and skipping applies the cap to the rewards too.
Privilege Bounties
Two new bounties are played with Privilege Tickets:

Six accessories made at the accessory shop are added with them: Storm Bull Charm for HP, Phys. ATK, Magic ATK, Phys. DEF, Magic DEF and Speed.
Shop
- The regular lineup of the headquarters general store adds salt, sugar, soy sauce, flour and vegetable oil.
- The “Temporary Stock” lineup now shows 16 of 30 materials at random and re-rolls on every refresh.
Character-Exclusive Accessories
29 character-exclusive accessories were added to the Great Tree Coin Exchange at 2,000 Great Tree Coins each. Clearing the listed floor of the Mirage Tower’s Elemental Chambers unlocks the exchange, and only the named character can equip them. A character with the same name but another rarity or epithet is not eligible.

Most characters have two accessories each; Georg, Sydonia and Varkas have one.
Sort Bug and Emergency Maintenance
After the October 15 update, sorting a list by Magic ATK, Phys. DEF or Wind could break the accessory shop, the blacksmith’s armor crafting and refining, manual equipment changes for charms and memoria, the storage lists for armor, charms, memoria and accessories, and the item shop’s selling screen. Symptoms were icons not displaying, the craft button staying hidden and the screen freezing, and restarting the app did not help.
An emergency maintenance was scheduled for October 17, 2026, 02:00–02:30 JST to fix it.
