Lore
Since their birth, the twins have not been allowed to freely fly with their wings. The second pair of arms growing on their backs resembles two ceremonial vessels displaying the majesty of the Son, always mandated to maintain a certain posture. In childhood, Pollux was the most protective of those wings among the two, daily grooming and applying essential oils to keep those feathers shining like satin. He always took advantage of brief moments of solitude to secretly flap those newly flourishing wings, wobbling off the ground in Castor's astonishment, reaching out to touch the embellished dome above. Compared to how Pollux could make his wings dance in various agile poses, Castor often felt that his wings were as clumsy as two wooden planks. During their secret time after going to bed each day, Castor quietly watched Pollux leap and spin in the dark, imitating flight within the small confines. "My brother's wings are so beautiful, but as for me, I might never learn to fly," Castor thought. So it was on the night of their escape that Castor first felt the coolness and ease of the evening breeze lifting his wings. The more skilled Pollux tightly held onto his clumsily flying brother, laughing joyously in the sky, drawing arcs of dive and spin like a real bird of the sky. Castor turned his head to see the moonlight gilding Pollux' long and powerful wings, reflecting a dazzling bluish-green halo among the feathers. "That must be the most beautiful thing in the world; no matter what happens, I will protect Pollux and safeguard those wings." Soon, the harsh wilderness life left Pollux's wings injured by beasts. Castor, heartbroken, picked up the fallen feathers of Pollux and tucked them into his bosom, silently vowing that such a thing would not happen again. But what he did not know was that this solitary feather would later become his most treasured possession, the last relic he would hold onto about those wings.
