Since being taken in by Mr. Ward Philips, Alistair has accompanied him to numerous high-level meetings of Mythag. Though termed high-level, it feels more like a monthly debate competition: Mr. Philips speaks gently and leads the discussion; Khlarcus is sharp-tongued and unyielding. They take turns as the affirmative or negative side, arguing endlessly about the future of Mythag or the resource allocation for the Awakening Studies Department next month. Miss Tawil is a silent observer, never easily offering her suggestions. He himself strives to be an impartial scorekeeper, occasionally doubling as a referee, and even had to use some combat skills once to prevent the small conference table from facing mishap. Now, only two members remain in the meeting: one can never leave the Black Pool, and the other can no longer leave the underground in pursuit of that possible "future." As for that table, it has been lost since that incident.
