One month after launch, MONGIL: STAR DIVE PD Lee Dongjo has shared Dev Note #4 with an early look at the upcoming Version 1.1 update. The note covers gameplay system fixes, quality-of-life changes, and new content arriving with the major update scheduled for May 27.

A Developer Live broadcast on May 21 at 10:00 UTC (Korean) and May 22 at 01:00 UTC (Global) will show episode 6, the new character Narae, and the new Conquest mode in detail before the update goes live.

Version 1.1: What's Coming

New Content

  • New character: Narae — full reveal at the May 21/22 Developer Live
  • New Conquest mode — previewed during the Developer Live broadcast
  • Episode 6 — shown during the broadcast

Stagger & Bind Timing Fix

Currently, buff durations and applied effects continue counting down during Monsterling Stagger and Bind sequences. Version 1.1 will stop outside time during Stagger and Bind animations, meaning:

  • Buffs no longer expire during Stagger Time
  • Skills used just before a Stagger window will no longer feel wasted
  • Skill cooldowns will also pause during these moments, making cooldown management during Stagger Time more important

PC Auto-Attack Toggle

A new PC option lets players hold a button to perform Basic Attacks automatically. It is togglable in the settings menu, intended to reduce repetitive input fatigue during lower-intensity content.

Salvage Overhaul

  • Bulk salvage expanded to support large quantities at once (exact amount to be confirmed)
  • Enhanced Artifacts, Equipment, and Monsterlings can now be salvaged
  • Salvaging enhanced items returns a portion of the EXP materials used to enhance them

Stat Cap Increases

Caps for stats including Crit Rate and Critical DMG have been raised. Exact values will be shared in a future notice.

Stellar Voyage Improvements

  • Selectable reward tickets replace randomly distributed Artifacts
  • Maximum stages expanded
  • Mission objectives and EXP values redesigned

Event Reward Efficiency

Previous events had relatively low currency yield. Starting from Version 1.1 events, overall reward efficiency has been improved across the board.

Additional QoL Changes

  • Monsterling filter and Combine convenience improvements
  • Red Dot issue on shop package tab fixed
  • Story skip feature added for Main Quests
  • Minigame skip function added
  • "Send Keys" quest added to Contribution Missions
  • Main Quest progression requirements adjusted — Side Quests that were previously mandatory conditions have been relaxed
