Suikoden STAR LEAP Event Bounty Bug: Fight in Town

A resume prompt can lock the UI during an Event Bounty. Konami's workaround is to start them in town and pick Resume, with a fix due September 4.

The Event Bounties that opened with the September 2 update can leave an account stuck. Konami has confirmed the fault, published a workaround, and scheduled an emergency maintenance to fix it.

What Goes Wrong

The lock needs three things to line up:

  1. You start an Event Bounty while standing somewhere other than a town.
  2. The battle is interrupted.
  3. On returning, you choose Cancel at the resume prompt.

The interface then fails to draw correctly and the game cannot be advanced from that state.

How to Avoid It

Konami asks players to do two things until the fix ships:

  • Start Event Bounties from inside a town — your headquarters or Gregminster, for instance — rather than out in the field.
  • When you come back to an interrupted battle, choose Resume, never Cancel.

Both are cheap habits, and the second one matters more: the prompt appears whenever a fight is broken off, so it is the step that is easy to answer without reading.

The Fix

An emergency maintenance runs on September 4, 2026 from 02:00 to 04:00 JST. It addresses this bug and a second one, unrelated to gameplay: at the KONAMI Games store, some players could not buy a ¥10,000 Fantasy Stones product. That one affects accounts that set their age bracket to 18-or-over during August and whose first September purchase was that product; buying anything at ¥5,000 or less first clears it, as does opening the in-app shop, going as far as the platform payment screen and cancelling there.

The service is unavailable while maintenance runs, and progress made in a session that is still open when it begins may not save. Konami asks players to stop 15 minutes before the start, and notes the end time can move with the work.
