Lore

This is an island marked on no nautical chart. Since its birth, the virus known as "civilization" has never set foot upon its pristine shores. There is only sand, jungle, an endless stretch of sea... and one small girl. ......... "Papa! Mama! Fish!" "Whistle—" Two dolphins glide leisurely to the girl's side, their cries melodic and clear. One lifts her onto its back; the other takes the stunned fish from her hands and swallows it in a single gulp. "Whistle—" "Hehe. Vortice! Strong!" Like a child untouched by the world, the girl flexes her small arms, beaming at the praise from "Papa" and "Mama." "Today, sun! Good!" "Vortice! Papa! Mama! Swim!" At her words, the dolphin carrying her lets out a soft trill and begins a slow circle around the little island. Warm sunlight spills over the girl, dispelling the damp chill that has lingered for days. A gentle breeze rustles through her hair, carrying the ocean's lazy breath. Laughter, splashing, playful cries. On this isolated isle, there are no burdens of the modern world—only the most primal, purest joy. As always, the two creatures and one girl spend another simple, carefree day. ......... Until the endless calling rises up and devours that tranquility whole. "Come back... Come back..." "@1 needs you... @2...@4... needs you..."
