The Fight Championship event introduces a new Heather Hobby called Fight Club, split into two parts: a competitive PvP mode and a challenge mode tied to the prison. Completing all six event missions rewards 300 Annuliths, and you can earn 240 more from the Spider Shop plus 45 from four achievements, for a total of 585 Annuliths.

I also made a full video walkthrough — recommended if you want to follow along step by step:

Competitive Mode (PvP)

The Fight Championship event can be accessed from the Event tab on your phone menu.

Competitive mode is a 4-player free-for-all brawl. Rankings are based on elimination order — not damage dealt or kills — so surviving longer matters more than being aggressive.

Combat Mechanics

  • Basic attack: a swift punch combo; completing the full chain turns the final hit into a heavy attack.
  • Heavy attack: hold the attack button mid-chain to trigger it early. Deals high damage and staggers opponents who are mid-basic-attack.
  • Block: consumes stamina and glows blue. Timing a block against a heavy attack performs a parry, which deals damage and stuns.
  • Perfect dodge: recovers a small amount of stamina.
  • Ultimate — Grapple Throw: fill the energy meter by landing attacks and blocks, then use it on a staggered opponent to deal massive damage.

Environmental Hazards

  • Soap: spawns randomly during the match; can stagger a player who runs into it.
  • Pine cone bomb: a countdown timer appears above each player’s head. When it reaches zero, it explodes dealing heavy area damage. Hit someone with a heavy attack to pass your bomb to them and reset the timer.
  • Fragile walls: the walls in the middle of the arena can be broken during fights.
  • Eliminating a player restores HP.

Rewards and Tips

Hiding out until the last player is one-on-one is a viable strategy — rankings are based on survival order, not kills.

Placement City Stamina Fons Painkillers
1st 30 30,000 5
4th 12 12,000 2

Rounds last 2–3 minutes (5-minute time limit). If no winner is crowned in time, players are ranked by remaining HP.

Since rankings are based on survival order, a common strategy is to hide or run until only one other player remains, then fight one-on-one with near-full HP. If you just need event mission completions and don’t care about rewards, the AFK method also works fine.

You can also enter without city stamina and still earn Painkillers based on your rank.

The Spider Shop (bottom-left icon inside the Fight Club tab) sells items using the Strong Painkillers you earn. Useful picks include the Rock Solid Spoon and the Signal Jammer — both come in handy for the prison section below.

Challenge Mode

Challenge mode requires completing a side quest inside the detention center. If you’ve never been to prison in NTE, here’s how to get there and unlock it.

Step 1 — Get Arrested

The fastest way is to teleport to Wertheimer Tower and start attacking civilians. Once you’re wanted, find the station police officer in the plaza and turn yourself in.

Step 2 — Survive the Prison Schedule

After being jailed, you’ll always start in the evening. Follow the daily schedule:

  1. Evening → rest on the bed until morning.
  2. Morning → nothing to do; wait until you can interact with the bed to end the activity.
  3. Lunchtime → grab items off the tables, then interact with any metal door to skip to afternoon.
  4. Afternoon → head to the courtyard.

Step 3 — Find Tornado

In the courtyard, look for an NPC named Tornado — their appearance changes depending on your character’s gender, but the name is always the same. You’ll spot them bullying another prisoner. Talk to Tornado and intervene to trigger the side quest.

Follow the quest markers to Tornado’s hideout, then beat Tornado in a fist fight to complete the quest.

Step 4 — Complete the Sparring Challenges

Defeating Tornado in the hideout — each of the three difficulty sparring sessions counts toward the event mission counter.
Defeating Tornado in the hideout — each of the three difficulty sparring sessions counts toward the event mission counter.

Inside the hideout, talking to Tornado again gives three sparring options (Light, Medium, and Hard difficulty). Each completed fight counts toward the event’s challenge mode counter.

The event requires 5 total wins. The fastest approach:

  1. Complete all three difficulty tiers (3 fights).
  2. Do Light Sparring twice more for the remaining 2 wins.

Combat tip: Learn Tornado’s attack patterns on Light first, then work your way up. The key is to parry repeatedly (3–4 times in succession is doable once you have the timing) to break Tornado’s shield, then use your Grapple Throw ultimate to deal massive damage.

Prison Break

After completing the sparring, talk to Cyclone or interact with the exit door to return to the courtyard. From here, you have three options to escape without paying the 30,000 Fons fine.

Option 1 — Parkour Over the Wall (Boat)

From the courtyard, climb the block near the barbed wire fence and do some parkour along the wire. Hug the invisible wall on the left to avoid falling, then jump to the white wall light, make a series of jumps over the outer wall, and run to the wharf to board the boat.

The boat takes 5–6 minutes to reach land. You cannot teleport mid-ocean without triggering the 30,000 Fons fine — the escape only counts once you’re out of your prison uniform on the mainland.

Option 2 — Sewer via Rock Solid Spoon

Behind some posters in your cell block is a breakable wall. Normally you’d need three or more regular spoons to crack it, but the Rock Solid Spoon from the Spider Shop bypasses that.

Before breaking out, collect the required items first:

  1. Enter the facility through the courtyard door and grab bed sheets from the cardboard box on the left.
  2. Interact with the metal door to skip to evening.
  3. Go left past the staircase and grab the dirty prison uniform on the ground.
  4. Go upstairs and enter the room to grab a second dirty prison uniform.
  5. Talk to the NPC upstairs and tell her the warden is looking for her — go inside the cell and grab the last bed sheets.
  6. Head to the monitoring room and grab the tower keys from the desk while the guard isn’t looking.

Once you have everything, use the spoon to break the wall and enter the sewer. Avoid the searchlight beams (the Signal Jammer from the Spider Shop helps here, but it’s optional if you’re patient). Get past the giant drainage pipe to complete the escape.

Option 3 — Rooftop via Tower Keys

Navigating through the prison to reach the escape route — don't let the guards catch you or your sentence gets extended.

During the morning activity, interact with the cell door to call a guard. Tell them you’d like to do some volunteer cleaning. If you have the tower key (obtained in Option 2’s prep steps), you’ll get the option to go up to the roof. From there, interact with the search icon to escape.

This brings you out at the wharf — but unlike Option 1, you’re already out of your prison uniform here, so you can teleport immediately.

Recommendation

For the quickest path through this event:

  • Do the event missions in Competitive Mode (AFK is fine if you just need completions).
  • Get arrested, survive one prison cycle, find Tornado in the afternoon, complete all three sparring difficulties, then do Light Sparring two more times.
  • Use Option 3 (Tower Key + Rooftop) for the fastest prison escape if you grabbed the key during prep.
