The August 12, 2026 Developer Lounge Talk covered the Version 1.3 update, the results of the player survey, and a long live Q&A. The survey answers are the substantial part: they commit the team to a faster story cadence and to a 5★ balance pass timed to Version 1.4.

Survey Response: Story

The most common survey requests were a clearer main character and stronger scenario writing. The response:

  • Cloud Cloud ’s role and presence in the story will grow, to improve immersion.
  • Main story content will release every three weeks instead of the current pace.
  • Story quality and immersion are being raised across the board, event stories included.
  • Replay features for stories and mini-games are in preparation for Version 1.4.

Survey Response: Balance

The team acknowledged the core complaint directly: 4★ characters were deliberately made strong enough that new players never feel stuck, and the side effect is 5★ characters underperforming relative to their cost.

The fix is a review of overall 5★ balance, timed to land with Version 1.4, because 1.4 adds progression elements that interact with balance. The review will account for the new 5★ equipment from Version 1.3, synergies with new characters, and Monsterlings. Before 1.4 ships, the target characters and adjustment directions will be explained in advance through Developer Notes or a broadcast.

Ophelia Ophelia and the support characters were named as the first pass, arriving with Version 1.3.

Brisshell

Brisshell, the Girl from the Void, was confirmed as an Earth-element, Assassin-class Eldritch God character. The pitch is a character who craves human attention and then flees from it once she has it.

Version 1.3 Rundown

The broadcast walked through seven changes: the Manon’s Guidebook revamp, Animated Background Theater, instant Request reward claiming, enhanced Morning Star’s Pledge benefits, Dimensional Rift Auto Clear, Conquest Rankings, and the Appearance Shop with swimsuit costumes for Ophelia and Jiwon Jiwon plus a dance motion for Narae Narae .

Two details from that rundown are worth pulling out. Divers still working through the old Manon’s Guidebook receive their remaining rewards in bulk, and the new Guidebook is open to everyone regardless of whether they finished the old one. Conquest Rankings ship in 1.3 as a display feature only; showing the team compositions used by top rankers is planned for later updates.

Q&A Highlights

  • PS5 release: the build has been submitted, and the team is working through additional adjustments.
  • Roadmap: a roadmap covering upcoming costumes and content is due September 3, 2026.
  • Returning limited banners: the team is looking to make past limited characters obtainable again in Version 1.4, with details in that roadmap.
  • Legendary Conquest ranking rewards: no plans, to avoid forcing competition. If demand is high, the first step would be honour items such as badges or profile borders rather than material rewards.
  • Affinity system: priority is being raised and it will be introduced as soon as possible.
  • Bonds of Fate: rather than resetting them, more acquisition sources will be added; shortages are being covered by operational distributions in the meantime.
  • Adventure Level cap: a raise is tied to future major episode or story expansion updates.
  • Costume pricing: no launch discounts, and costumes are permanent stock rather than limited-time.
  • Monsterling quality of life: presets and better search are being implemented as quickly as possible. Appearance changes for Monsterlings will be reviewed, but are not a high priority.
  • Galaxy Store: no plans at this time.
  • Buff/debuff durations and DEF Reduction balance: both go into the Version 1.4 balance revamp. Character walking motions are under review.
  • Advanced Combat Tactics: acquisition sources will be inspected and expanded if they prove insufficient.
  • Artifacts in the balance revamp: not ruled out; the team is staying open and following player feedback.

The stream was broadcast in Korean only, and the team apologised for that, pointing global players to the written summary and to auto-translated subtitles on the replay.

Two celebration codes were handed out with the broadcast — LETSGOALFRED and SHELLWEDIVE, each worth Key ×150, Compass of Promise ×3, and Premium Salmon Puree ×10. Both expired on August 18, 2026 at 23:30 (UTC).
