Version 1.3, “Girl from the Void,” went live with the maintenance that ran from August 18, 2026 at 23:30 to August 19 at 05:30 (UTC). Beyond the new 5★ character Brisshell, it is the largest systems patch Mongil: Star Dive has shipped so far: a recruitment retry mechanic, a rebuilt Guidebook, a Cosmetics Shop, Dimensional Rift and Conquest overhauls, and the first round of 5★ balance buffs.

Maintenance Compensation

The window overran by an hour, so compensation comes in two parts:

  • Starlight Crystal ×300 and Glimmering Stardust ×2 for the scheduled downtime
  • Starlight Crystal ×60 for the extension

Both are delivered by mail to every Diver who logs in between the end of maintenance and August 21, 2026 at 14:59 (UTC).

Brisshell and Her Recruitments

The new 5★ character Brisshell, Doom’s Lonely Herald, arrives with her own Epic Quest, “A Visitor from Afar,” which unlocks from the bottom-left of the Quest screen once Episode 2 is cleared.

Four event Recruitments open alongside her:

  • Doom’s Lonely Herald — Brisshell’s character banner
  • Monstrous Longing — the matching Artifact banner
  • Heir to the Amethyst Eye and Creator of Warm Melodies — both run on Compass of Promise

The two Compass of Promise banners share their guaranteed-acquisition and rate-bonus counters with each other, and neither counter carries over once the event period ends.

Harmonious Encounters

The headline systems change is a new Harmonious Encounters category in the Recruit menu that lets you retry a 10-pull until you like the result.

  • The 10-pull itself costs no currency to perform.
  • A Compass of Tuning is what you spend to lock in a result — either the one you saved earlier or the one currently on screen.
  • The first nine slots follow normal rates; the tenth guarantees a 5★ Standard Character.
  • Compass of Tuning comes from the revamped Guidebook and from the Check-In Streak Gift event.

Manon’s Guidebook Revamp

The old Manon’s Guidebook has been retired and replaced by a new Guidebook. Divers who were still working through the old version get their remaining rewards distributed in bulk, and the new one is open to everyone — including players who already finished the previous version. Key rewards include Starlight Crystal, a 4★ Starter Selector, Compass of Destiny, and the Compass of Tuning that Harmonious Encounters needs.

Period Recommended Resistant

Dimensional Rift Overhaul

  • Mid-bosses and normal monsters are now shown next to the final boss at the entry stage level, with a separate indicator when a mid-boss is present.
  • Auto Resetting repeatedly rerolls until the boss you want appears, spending currency per reset.
  • Auto Clear is available for stages already cleared in the season. It consumes owned tickets equally whether they are free or paid, and drops still follow their normal rates.
  • Master and Legendary tiers sit above Diamond. Master and above display a rank frame alongside the score.

Conquest Rankings and Seasons

A ranking system now tracks Conquest records, and records can be updated without spending entry tickets. A new Conquest Record page shows personal bests per boss — difficulty, stage, record time, high score, and the team used. Seasons run on a six-week cycle, with records and rankings reset at the end of each one.

Cosmetics Shop

A Cosmetics Shop category has been added to the Shop:

  • Costumes: Wave-Splitting Blade for Ophelia Ophelia and Summer Sun Blossom for Jiwon Jiwon
  • Emotes: four for Narae Narae — Small Divine Maiden Shuffle, Swaying Steps, Baby Fox Boogie, and Swaying in the Breeze

Costumes and Photo Mode emotes can be bought without owning the matching character, but equipping or using them requires the character. Each Character Info page now has controls for equipping a chosen costume and idle emote.

Balance: Ophelia and Jiwon

Ophelia Ophelia receives a broad damage pass:

  • Basic Attack hits 2, 3 and 4 deal more damage
  • Special Skill hits 1, 2 and 3 deal more damage
  • Switch Skill damage increased
  • Awakening Stage 1 Special Skill DMG Boost increased
  • Awakening Stage 2 Ice DMG Boost increased
  • Awakening Stage 6 Basic Attack DMG Boost increased
  • Ice DMG Boost on landing the Subzero Verdict Special Skill increased, and Special Skill DMG Boost on landing the Subzero Verdict Basic Attack increased — both added in an August 19 edit to the notes

Jiwon Jiwon ’s Basic Attack has been reworked: playing the Pipa now generates wind-formed soundwaves around enemies, dealing Wind DMG and healing the whole team for a percentage of Jiwon’s Max HP.

Other Additions

  • New 5★ equipment craftable from Field Boss drop materials, alongside the existing Conquest Boss equipment.
  • Max Key capacity raised from 100 to 120. Auto Clear can now auto-recharge when keys run short, spending Spare Keys first and then Recharge Keys items, highest recovery amount first.
  • Recommended Monsterling equipment auto-equips a suitable set per character. Note that Auto-Equip unequips everything before re-equipping the full set rather than filling only the empty slots.
  • Recommended team setups based on the characters you own.
  • Animated Background Theater displays your chosen animated background after the game sits idle, once the screensaver option is enabled in its settings.
  • Requests complete instantly on defeating the target, with no report step, and tracking automatically retargets when you switch to another Request monster in the same region.
  • Monsterling filter search now supports initial-consonant and multi-tag searches.
  • Improved Trial team compositions in certain Main Quests, and an adjusted Auto-Play unlock condition right after starting the game.
  • The Doom’s Herald I–VII products are in Shop → Relay until September 8, 2026 at 23:59 (UTC).

Notable Fixes

  • Slate of Knowledge quantities now display correctly during Legendary Monsterling Breakthrough; the underlying count was already accurate.
  • Reginula Animari no longer intermittently attacks Francis Francis in the Dimensional Rift.
  • Stacking artifact and character skill effects that reset their duration now say so in their descriptions.
  • Fixed a blank screen after buying out the Special Offers tab, frame drops when entering the Animated Background screen, and several Monsterling Fusion trait and lock display bugs.
  • Controller settings no longer reset on version updates — though that fix only takes effect with the v1.4 update.
