Rerolling in NTE is straightforward thanks to the salting method, which lets you generate unlimited unique accounts from a single email address without ever creating a new one.
How to Reroll
The Salting Method
Salting works by appending symbols (+ or .) to your main email address to produce a new, unique address that automatically forwards to your inbox. No new account required.
+ method:
email@gmail.com ← main
email+1@gmail.com ← reroll #1
email+2@gmail.com ← reroll #2
. method:
email@gmail.com ← main
e.mail@gmail.com ← reroll #1
em.ail@gmail.com ← reroll #2
Both methods can be combined and repeated indefinitely.
Step-by-step Process
- Create a new account using Email login with a salted address.
- Play through the tutorial until you reach the city (~20 minutes) — this unlocks the gacha.

- Open your Mailbox and claim all available pre-reg rewards and compensation.

- Redeem any active codes (see below).
- Pull on your target banner.

- If unsatisfied, log out from the main menu and repeat with a new salted address.
Link your Google or Facebook account only after you've found a run you want to keep.
Alternative Method (Google/Facebook Login)
This method lets you keep your preferred email bound to the account you decide to keep:
- Create an account using Google or Facebook sign-in.
- Play through the tutorial and do your pulls.
- Go to the User Center and bind a normal (salted) email to the account.
- Unbind your Google or Facebook account.
- Log out and repeat.
If you already have your main email bound to an existing account, you can use the account deletion feature — it takes 7 days to process, after which you can rebind your main email to the account you want to keep.
Process summary:
1. Log in with Google/Facebook
2. Reach gacha → pull
3. Bind salted email in User Center
4. Unbind Google/Facebook
5. Log out → repeat
How Many Pulls Per Run?
Each reroll run yields approximately:
| Banner type | Pulls per run |
|---|---|
| Standard banner | ~40 (20% discount for first 50 pulls = 8-cost pulls) |
| Limited banner | ~20–30 |
Each run takes roughly 15–20 minutes.
Active codes — always redeem these before pulling:

Who to Reroll For
Every character has a viable niche. Here's a quick breakdown:
Nanally — Limited Main DPS
| Pros | Top-tier DPS; wall run for exploration; pairs with |
| Cons | Can struggle in AoE without a grouper; on the limited banner, making her harder to hit — though you can guarantee her with enough pulls |
Baicang — Main DPS
| Pros | Strong standard-banner DPS; pairs well with |
| Cons | Complex kit; AoE is present but not exceptional |
Daffodill — Burst DPS
| Pros | The only character who can enable break-focused teams in 1.0; pairs well with Baicang, Sakiri, Fadia, and presumably |
| Cons | Wants specific teammates to fully enable her break playstyle |
Fadia — Support
| Pros | Makes your team nearly unkillable; great generalist defensive support |
| Cons | Loses some value without Daffodill in 1.0 (enhanced Nova effect); some effects require taking damage to activate |
Sakiri — Support
| Pros | One of the few generalist supports with DEF reduction + ATK buff; best CC/grouper in 1.0 |
| Cons | Enhanced Scorch effect requires Daffodill (only relevant in DoT teams with Baicang) |
Jiuyuan — Burst DPS
| Pros | Low field time; strong grouping; pairs well with Nanally, |
| Cons | — |
Hathor — Burst DPS
| Pros | Provides a free 10% crit rate buff to the whole team when Remora triggers; good AoE; unlocks special furniture that rewards free modules (gear); does 1 free daily delivery (saves city energy) |
| Cons | Can be interrupted by bosses during her ultimate (not an issue against trash mobs) |
Do You Need to Reroll?
Short answer: no. NTE is completable and enjoyable without rerolling.
- You receive a standard banner selector at 50 pulls, letting you pick any standard character within your first hour.
- The free-to-play pull economy is generous enough to guarantee Nanally if you're targeting her.
- Endgame requires two teams, but
Chiz (S-rank DPS) is given free at Tycoon Level 18.
That said, A-rank DPS characters feel noticeably outclassed compared to S-rank options. If you're planning to use your standard selector on a support (Sakiri, Fadia), rerolling for an S-rank DPS first can be worthwhile — as long as you enjoy the process.
FAQ
Can I unbind my salted email and rebind my main one? No. Normal email login cannot be unbound. You can link a Google or Facebook account and use those to log in instead.
Do I still get pre-registration rewards? Yes. Every account receives pre-reg rewards regardless of whether you actually pre-registered.
Can I get the Hethereau Residents Guide web event rewards on a salted account? Not conveniently. The event ended before launch, so you'd need to have pre-created all your reroll accounts and completed the event on each one. The only thing you'd miss by skipping it is 1 standard pull — not worth the effort.
Does this work on mobile and PlayStation? Yes for mobile. PlayStation players should reroll on mobile first, then sign in on PS5 once they have the account they want.
What if I already created an account?
Use your existing account for your first run, then salt from it. Add +1, +2, etc. to the same email. If your account was created via Google or Facebook, bind a normal email in the User Center first, then unbind social login.
Do emulators work? No known emulator currently runs NTE.
Can I be banned for salting? It is highly unlikely, but use at your own risk.
