Analysis

The definitive Chaos Main DPS in Version 1.1. Nightmare stacking and Discord procs deliver the highest single-target damage ceiling for bossing, backed by dual-stance mobility that removes positional weaknesses.

Pros

Discord procs deal 400% ATK bonus damage on Nightmare-afflicted targets — unmatched single-target ceiling

Dual-stance Melee/Ranged fluidity eliminates positional weaknesses and grants constant uptime regardless of enemy behavior

A5 Tempest Glass reduces enemy max HP while providing built-in self-heal — removes the need for a dedicated healer in most content

A6 auto-casts the support skill on every Nova/Scorch/Discord trigger, creating a near-perfect reaction loop at endgame

Cons

Complexity is high — mastering internal cooldowns and stance-specific animation cancels is mandatory for top-end performance

Nightmare stack duration is only 3 seconds at base, requiring tight timing to prevent stacks from expiring between burst windows

Morning Tomato Copy effect requires completion of her Spin-off quest; new players cannot use the full kit immediately

Recommended Build

Role: Main DPS

Lacrimosa's Nightmare debuff caps at 10 stacks and enables Discord, which deals 400% of her ATK as bonus damage per proc — at 2,300 ATK that is 9,200 raw per trigger before crits. The Last Rose maximizes this burst: Bohemian Rose builds up to 10 Chaos Thorn stacks from DoT hits, each granting +12% Crit DMG (up to +120%), and instantly grants all 10 stacks on a Redirect Skill cast. Diabolos ignores up to 24% Chaos Resistance after Nova or Scorch participation, directly removing the resistance floor that otherwise caps burst damage against 1.1 bosses. Hotori's Replay doubles Discord proc windows, Sakiri triggers Scorch and amplifies active DoTs, and Haniel completes the Chaos + Incantation + Psyche triple-cycle for maximum reaction density.

Recommended Team

Lacrimosa

Main DPS

Nightmare stack engine and Discord burst carrier. Working Day Judgement instantly applies 5 Nightmare stacks; Morning Tomato Copy leverages enemy-scaled stats for additional DoT damage.

Hotori

Battery / Replay Support

Mandatory for Discord Spam: World's Tide replays all team skills in a frozen window, doubling the Discord proc count. Non-Closed Time Piece energy recharges off-field, imposing a 20-second team rotation clock.

Sakiri

Scorch Enabler / Buffer

Delivers the Scorch reaction (Incantation + Chaos) to set up the Discord triple-cycle. Devour Whole creates controlled grouping windows. Can I Eat This? amplifies DoT damage by up to +100% while Scorch is active.

Haniel

Support / Healer

Completes the Chaos + Incantation + Psyche Discord triple-cycle as the Psyche representative. It's Friendship! drains ATK from Nova targets and redistributes it team-wide. Best F2P-accessible support for this comp.

About

"I've been watching for a while now. That girl from ETD has been standing there motionless for two hours! She must be plotting something that could destroy Hethereau…" "That's just your prejudice talking. She's young and already risking her life for this city. Standing there quietly is probably part of her duty." "Last week she threw a truck across half the street and left a huge crater in the ground. You saw it too!" "Wasn't that to stop a suddenly rampaging Anomaly? C'mon, be reasonable…" Not far away, Lacrimosa, who had accidentally fallen asleep while standing, let out a big yawn and rubbed her eyes groggily. The wind today, so noisy… Sigh… miss home.
