Neverness to Everness team guide for Crimson Feast: composition, Esper reactions, key synergies, rotation tips, pros and cons, and substitutes.

Crimson Feast

Zankou's home team in Version 1.3. Sakiri holds the second Incantation slot to amplify every DoT in the pool, a Chaos unit supplies the other half of Scorch, and Iroi covers sustain while turning each swap into a Hexed proc. The composition feeds both of Zankou's damage channels at once: Scorch stacks for the DoT half, Hexed procs for the Follow-up Attack half.

Team Composition

Main DPS

Runs Wildfire into an enhanced Sanguine Dash for Illusion Form, spams Nightmare Waltz to spread up to 4 DoT effects per hit, then closes on the enhanced Soulcross to trigger Oblivion and chain Bloodfeast Reverie into a free enhanced Inferno Flamenco.

Scorch Enabler / DoT Amplifier

Mandatory Incantation partner. Can I Eat This? amplifies all active DoT damage by 25% per DoT type up to +100% while Scorch is live, and Devour Whole groups enemies so Nightmare Waltz spreads DoT across the pack.

Chaos Anchor / Sub DPS

Completes Scorch and contributes Nightmare DoT ticks, which both Silent Sunset and Can I Eat This? count toward their stacks.

Substitutes

The free-to-play Chaos anchor. Keeps Scorch fully online and adds Break-cap reduction, at the cost of Lacrimosa's Nightmare burst. This version runs no limited 5★ damage dealer apart from Zankou.

Anima Anchor / Sustain

Opens each loop with healing and ATK buffs, and her Anima element triggers Hexed on the swap into Sakiri or Zankou. Hold her Ultimate for every second rotation.

Substitutes

Trades Hexed for the Discord triple-cycle (Chaos + Psyche + Incantation), draining enemy Break whenever Nova and Scorch are both active. The most accessible support in the slot.

Pure buffer pick. Her Cosmos element sits outside both reactions, so the slot contributes raw multipliers and Esper Cycle pressure alone.

Esper Reactions

Duo Cycles

CosmosAnimaIncantationChaosPsycheLakshana
Scorch Duo Cycle
Incantation Incantation Chaos Chaos

Upon triggering Esper Cycle, inflicts Scorch on the target for 15s, dealing DoT.

Resonance

Moderate Mischief

Scorch Enhancement: Inflicts another instance of Scorch with the same effect as the existing one when a Power Word is generated on a target affected by Scorch.

Can I Eat This?

Scorch Enhancement: Increases DoT taken by the target by 25% for each type of DoT effect while in Scorch state, up to 100%.

Temperance

Scorch Enhancement: Applies one of three random debuffs whenever Scorch is inflicted on a target: -20% ATK, -10% Esper Resistance, or +10% Break Efficiency, lasting for 15s. The same effect cannot stack.

Silent Sunset

Scorch Enhancement: Scorch can be stacked up to 3 times. For each DoT effect allies inflict on a target afflicted with Scorch, Zankou inflicts 1 stack of Scorch on them, replacing the DMG, type, and duration of existing Scorch on the target with those of the newly inflicted effect. Scorch inflicted by this effect cannot trigger it again.

Triggered by: Sakiri → Lacrimosa or Lacrimosa → Zankou swap

In this team: Applies Scorch for 15s. Zankou's Silent Sunset raises the cap to 3 stacks and re-applies a stack for every DoT an ally lands on the target.

Hexed Duo Cycle
Anima Anima Incantation Incantation

Deals an additional instance of follow-up attack DMG to the target equal to 20% of Anima or Incantation DMG taken within 12s after triggering Esper Cycle.

Resonance

Weakness Radar

Triggered by: Iroi → Sakiri or Iroi → Zankou swap

In this team: Deals an extra instance of Follow-up Attack DMG equal to 20% of the Anima or Incantation damage taken in the last 12s — read directly by Zankou's Follow-up Attack heavy kit.

Why It Works

Zankou is the only unit whose passive turns other people's DoT into her own damage. Silent Sunset applies a fresh Scorch stack for every DoT an ally lands on a Scorched target, so stacking DoT applicators around her compounds rather than dilutes. Sakiri then multiplies the entire pool by up to 100%. Crimson Reverie adds 100 Cycle Intensity while Zankou is on the team, which keeps Scorch reaction damage calculated from her stats and her Arc rather than from a support's. On the other side of the kit, Iroi's swaps fire Hexed, and Hexed pays out as Follow-up Attack DMG — the exact damage type that Nightmare Waltz, Moonfall, Soulcross and Bloodfeast Reverie all belong to.

Key Synergies

Silent Sunset + Can I Eat This?

Every ally DoT on a Scorched target adds a Scorch stack through Silent Sunset, and every active DoT type raises Sakiri's amplification by another 25%. The two passives feed each other: more DoT sources mean both more Scorch stacks and a larger multiplier on all of them.

Crimson Reverie Cycle Intensity

The 100 Cycle Intensity Zankou brings decides whose stats the Scorch reaction reads. With her on the team the reaction scales off her Crit and ATK investment, so Arc and Console upgrades on Zankou improve the reaction damage the whole team generates.

Hexed as a Follow-up Attack payout

Hexed returns 20% of recent Anima or Incantation damage as Follow-up Attack DMG. Zankou routes Nightmare Waltz, Moonfall, both Soulcross versions and Bloodfeast Reverie through that damage type, so the reaction and her kit compound instead of sitting in separate buckets.

Nightmare Waltz DoT spreading

Each Nightmare Waltz hit copies up to 4 DoT effects from the target onto every enemy in the area. Behind Sakiri's grouping, one Illusion Form window converts single-target DoT into full-pack DoT.

Rotation Tips

  1. 1

Open with Iroi's Skill for her healing and ATK buffs, then swap into Sakiri to trigger Hexed

  2. 2

Use Sakiri's Ultimate and hold her Skill for the higher energy gain before swapping out

  3. 3

Swap to Lacrimosa to trigger Scorch, then run her Skill and Ultimate to add her Nightmare DoT to the pool

  4. 4

Swap to Zankou to trigger Scorch a second time, then run Wildfire → hold for Flickering Shadow → enhanced Sanguine Dash → Nightmare Waltz → enhanced Soulcross → Bloodfeast Reverie → free enhanced Inferno Flamenco

  5. 5

Keep attacking with Zankou until her Esper Cycle refills, then swap back to Iroi to fire Hexed and restart the loop

  6. 6

Hold the support Ultimates for every second rotation; Sakiri and Lacrimosa both come back online in time

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Scales with DoT quantity rather than DoT quality — every applicator added to the team makes Silent Sunset and Sakiri's amplifier stronger at the same time
  • Covers two reactions in one rotation, with Scorch feeding the DoT half of Zankou's kit and Hexed feeding the Follow-up Attack half
  • Bloodfeast Reverie into a free enhanced Inferno Flamenco delivers two Ultimates per rotation from one energy bar
  • Runs on accessible pieces: swapping Lacrimosa for Daffodill and Iroi for Haniel leaves Zankou as the only limited 5★ damage dealer
  • Crimson Reverie fills her Esper Cycle on entry, so the first rotation lands at full strength without a ramp

Cons

  • Sakiri is effectively mandatory; without a second Incantation unit the DoT amplification and the grouping both disappear
  • The rotation is timing-strict — the enhanced Soulcross has to land inside the Illusion Form window or Bloodfeast Reverie never arms
  • Only Lacrimosa and Daffodill can trigger Scorch, so the Chaos slot has no third option
  • Hexed and Discord are mutually exclusive here, since the fourth slot cannot cover Anima and Psyche at once
